The Essentials
Sunglasses – I always have a pair of sunnies in my bag, they’re a must living in the sunshine state! I lose them OFTEN so typically stick to fun and unique styles from Target to keep them affordable. The bolder the shape and brighter the color the better!
Lip balms and glosses – I’ll always have at least one or two lip balms or gloss in my bag. Fun fact! You can actually get sun burnt on your lips so I love having balms with a bit of SPF in them or some moisturizing gloss. My favorites are the Moxie lip gloss from Bare Minerals and the tinted lip balm with Vitamin E from The Crème Shop.
Spray deodorant – An absolute NEED for long park days, but my hubby and I like to go for long bike rides and walks on the weekends too so I always have some spray deodorant in my mini backpacks just to freshen up throughout the day!
Wallet – Loungefly also has the most colorful wallets to match your mini backpacks and bags! Mine usually don’t match because I almost always have my Winnie the Pooh wallet with me, but they’re the perfect way to add another little touch of magic to your day!
Miracle Balm – I’m from a small town in PA and there’s an incredible all-natural small shop. The beauty and health products are made with essential oils and high-quality natural products. I SWEAR by the healing balm (I call it my miracle balm) for first-aid cream, burn relief, anti-itch, and any kind of dry skin. If you’ve ever seen the dad from My Big Fat Greek Wedding spray Windex to fix anything, that’s me with my miracle balm so I always have some with me. I promise it’s the best $4 you’ll ever spend.
Beauty
Powder – I usually have a few makeup products in my Loungefly to freshen up. If I have to have just two products with me for space I’ll reach for my setting powder and eyelash curler (if I have room for more, blush and concealer are probably up there in the list too).
Hair ties & clips – Because the Florida humidity is no joke.
Health
Hand sanitizer, masks and wipes – The Covid pandemic has certainly changed me. I don’t see myself walking out of the house without my hand sanitizer, extra face masks and sanitizing wipes along with me. The extra masks are key for park days because I still find comfort in wearing masks but I like to change them a few times a day.
LiquidIV – Also NOT a paid brand endorsement but maybe I should reach out to them because I don’t go to the parks without LiquidIV packets with me. I get dehydrated very easily so to avoid migraines and exhaustion during long park days I always have them with me. Pro tip: I always ask for a venti water from Starbucks stands for free water or buy one water bottle in the morning and refill it throughout the day with fountain water, and the LiquidIV packets make fountain water taste so much better! My favorite flavors are Strawberry and Passion Fruit.
You really can fit a lot in the Loungefly mini backpacks! Depending on the day, I can sometimes even fit an outfit change in the bag for a quick refresh or extra park photos!
